What Is Resource Therapy?

Resource Therapy is a strengths-based, brief psychodynamic trauma-informed, parts therapy developed by Professor Gordon Emmerson, PhD. It is a distinct clinical model that helps therapists work directly with the Resource States – the inner parts of the self that hold emotional pain, protection, or resilience. RT is action-oriented, client-centred, and designed for lasting change through 15 targeted treatment actions.
